This 1.4501, S32760 super duplex stainless steel is designed to provide superior corrosion resistance and strength properties. With a pitting resistance equivalent number of more than 40, it is suitable for use in environments exposed to seawater, chemical plants, and desalination plants. Compared to UNS S32205, SUS 329J3L and SUS 329J4L, our S32760 offers superior localized corrosion resistance.

Workability
Type 321 stainless steel is designed for cold workability, but warranting extra caution due to its higher proof stress and lower elongation in comparison to Type 304.
Weldability
The UNS S32760 welding consumables provide reliable high-strength welds when used with appropriate techniques. During welding, the interpass temperature should be kept at or below 100℃ to avoid the formation of intermetallic compounds, and no preheating is required. Heat Treatment
This premium grade steel is heat-treated to a solution treatment temperature of 1080-1120℃ to maximize its strength and durability. After heating, it must be cooled rapidly to avoid embrittlement temperatures and ensure a reliable performance.
Pickling
Our pickling solution is composed of a mixture of nitric and fluoric acid, providing an optimal balance of strength and durability. The result is a descaling process that is more difficult than Type 304, but can be improved when used with an alkali bath before pickling and by shot blasting if possible.
