Heat Resistant Alloys
UNS N06002, 2.4665, comparable to Hastelloy X Alloy
UNS N06002 is a high-temperature, nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that provides superior strength and oxidation resistance in temperatures up to 1200°C. With excellent workability and weldability, this alloy is ideal for gas turbine components and furnace parts.
Workability
N06002 is a stainless steel alloy that offers a higher force requirement than standard austenitic stainless steel alloys. Hot working temperatures should range from 982 to 1177℃ for best results, while cold working is usually achievable with minimal effort. It is recommended to employ a solution treatment after working to ensure optimum creep properties.
Weldability
N06002 is an austenitic stainless steel that can be welded using TIG, MIG, and Shield Metal Arc Welding techniques. To ensure optimal welds, users must first clean off the surface of oxidizing scales, oil, and dirt.
Heat Treatment
This SAE AMS 5536L-compliant solution heat treatment has a recommended temperature range of 1149-1177°C. Rapid cooling is required after completion to ensure optimum performance.
Applications
This high-temperature resistant ceramic fiber construction board is perfect for protecting components in hot environments, such as gas turbine heat chambers, afterburner tail pipes, and heating furnace fans. With its ability to withstand temperatures up to 2300°F, this product is designed to last, safeguarding parts such as rollers, trays, hardware, and other parts.
